About ACAMef
The American College for Advancement in Medicine Education Foundation (ACAMef) seeks to educate and empower physicians, patients and the general public about complementary, alternative and integrative medicine (CAIM).  To accomplish this mission, we have a three prong approach; funding medical research for treatments that will support and enhance complementary modalities and integrative therapies, providing assistance for public programs and group forums that champion patient rights through education, information and access to CAIM therapies and providing educational scholarship for medical students from accredited medical schools seeking to enhance their scope of study with programs and seminars in complementary, alternative and integrative medicine.

To accomplish this mission, ACAMef seeks to build strategic alliances with corporate sponsors, foundations and individuals who are committed to a healthcare system that empowers freedom of choice.  Through the generosity of enterprise, foundations and private contributions, ACAMef will empower physicians and students of CAIM to engage in knowledge-based learning, help fund promising research endeavors that promote the efficacy of modalities not currently addressed by traditional funding sources and reach out to the public to educate and empower citizens about their freedom and choices in healthcare.

Honoring Legacy Citizens
ACAMef honors individuals who have helped advance the future of medicine through their knowledge, experience, ideas and commitment to innovative medicine and the health and wellness of the public.  Honorees exemplify the ideals of the Education Foundation by helping expand opportunities for integrative medicine and optimal healing for individuals and society.
