ACAM requests proposals from qualified individuals wishing to promote advanced Integrative Medicine research at our conferences.

Presentations
In accordance with CME guidelines, ACAM conferences are noncommercial forums. Individuals will refrain from the use of brand names and specific product endorsement whenever possible. Under no circumstances should the session podium be used as a place for direct promotion of a speaker's product, service or monetary self-interest. Session handouts and audiovisual materials used during presentations shall not include any company or organization logo.
Presenters from any session must refrain from overt statements or pointed humor which disparages the rightful dignity and social equity of any individual group. The speakers presentation shall not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark patent or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
Lecture Materials
The American College for Advancement in Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and thus needs to review all lecture materials, which includes, but is not limited to, presenter's educational background, presenter's lecture materials and references supporting said lecture. The following items will be required on the form:
- CV
A current Curriculum Vitae/Resume should contain the following information: Work history experience relevant to the topic being proposed; chronological education history listing degrees received, list of previous speaking engagements; list of publications speaker has authored that are relevant to the topic. Please attach this information as a word or pdf document to the form.
- BIO
Tell us about yourself. Include both educational and professional achievements. Bio provided will be used to introduce speakers and will be included in the syllabus. Please attach this information as a word or pdf document to the form.
- ABSTRACT OF LECTURE
Please supply a description of your topic. Be as specific as possible about the material you will cover in your presentation. Your abstract will be included in the syllabus. Descriptions that are too short or vague will be considered incomplete. Please input this information directly into the form.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES
List three to four items that participants will be able to do at the end of your presentation. Please input this information directly into the form.
- PRESENTATION MATERIALS
All presentation slides that will be presented must be in .ppt format. Please note that no Keynote presentations can be used unless they are converted to PowerPoint format. No Apple computers are available during the conference and you may not bring your own computer. If you have a PowerPoint presentation ready for ACAM to review please attach it to the form.

REFERENCES
In compliance with CME regulations, ACAM is requesting a separate document that contains references on materials presented in your lecture. Please attach this document to the form.

FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE
ACAM has implemented a process where everyone who is in a position to control the content of an education activity has disclosed to us all relevant financial relationships with any commercial interest. In addition, should it be determined that a conflict of interest exists as a result of a financial relationship you may have, this will need to be resolved prior to the activity. List the names of proprietary entities producing health care goods or services, with the exemption of non-profit or government organizations and non-health care related companies with which you or your spouse/partner have, or have had, a relevant financial relationship within the past 12 month. For this purpose we consider the relevant financial relationship of your spouse or partner that you are aware to be yours Describe what you or your spouse/partner received (ex: salary, honorarium, ect.) ACAM does not need to know how much you received.
Waiver and Authorization
By submitting a Call for Speakers, the speaker authorizes ACAM to record, duplicate and offer for sale on DVD, podcast, or any other mechanism that ACAM so chooses should the speaker be chosen to present at an ACAM conference. The speaker waives any and all claims resulting from the recording, duplicating and sales of the aforesaid. ACAM will limit sales of the recordings to attendees, member of ACAM and other medical professionals. Speakers will receive a complimentary copy of their session's recording should they request it.
