What Others Say About ACAM:

My first ACAM was in Dallas in 2006 and I absolutely loved it!  It has given me a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak.  All of the lectures concerning novel approaches to treating diseases were fascinating.  It is exciting to hear doctors in this field of medicine speak about integrative methods in treating diseases and their successful results. Furthermore, the participating medical doctors, naturopaths, nurse practitioners as well those in related professions made me feel warmly welcomed and as a result I am very enthusiastic regarding my future endeavors in integrative medicine.  - Kristine Kurth

The conference blew my mind!  I could only stay for the pre-conference workshop on Advanced Nutrition and CAM Therapies, and I totally regret not changing my ticket and staying for the rest.  It was my first ACAM conference, and I'm hooked. I was amazed that many of the diseases that I am learning in med school to be "idiopathic" can really be linked to infections, toxins, and nutritional deficiencies.  It was also inspiring to hear that there is so much more that can be done to treat chronic diseases besides the high dose steroids or chemo that we learn about in med school.  Just as second year was starting to drag, the ACAM conference provided the spark that I needed to keep me going.  I returned to med school inspired and reminded of what it really means to be a healer.  - Heather Linder
