Lyn Patrick, ND

Presenting in:

Lyn Patrick ND graduated from Bastyr University in 1984 with a degree in naturopathic medicine and has been in private practice as a licensed naturopathic physician in Tucson, Az. and Durango, Co. specializing in HIV infection, environmental medicine and hepatitis C for the last 20 years. She is currently on the faculty of the postgraduate Certification Course in Environmental Medicine at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, and is a former faculty member of the Southwest College. A Contributing Editor of Alternative Medicine Review, a Medline-indexed peer reviewed journal, she has published multiple literature reviews and is an author for the Alternative Medicine Review Monograph series. She is also a physician-member of the Hepatitis C Ambassadors Team, a national interdisciplinary team of providers and hepatologists seeking answers to chronic hepatitis C treatment through research in complementary/alternative medicine. She is also an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and speaks internationally on the subjects of chronic hepatitis C infection, eating disorders, and environmental medicine.


James Wilson, ND, DC, PhD

One of the few people to hold 3 doctorate degrees and 2 master's degrees, all from different disciplines, Dr. Wilson received his Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from the University of Arizona, with his dissertation in cellular immunology. In addition, he holds degrees as a Doctor of Chiropractic and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. His master's degrees are in bio/nutrition and experimental psychology, thus totaling 24 years of post-secondary education.

Dr. Wilson was also one of 14 founders of the Canadian College of Naturopathic medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario, now among the largest naturopathic colleges in the world. He is listed in The International Who's Who in Medicine (Cambridge, England) and currently resides in Tucson, Arizona. During his 28 years of private practice Dr. Wilson helped thousands of people regain their health and vitality. For the past 18 years he has also lectured extensively to physicians and is acknowledged as an expert on alternative medicine. During his extensive lecturing career, Dr. Wilson has spoken previously at ACAM as well as at some of the most prestigious medical conferences including: the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), International Functional Medicine, (IFM); The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M);and the Brazilian Association of Anti-Aging Medicine. Over the past 5 years,
he has spoken on 5 continents, including twice (2008 & 2010) at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, England.


 

Jessica Tran, ND

Jessica Tran, ND is a licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Arizona and practices general naturopathic family medicine with an emphasis on environmental medicine, and special populations of interest include pediatrics and oncology. Dr. Tran graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Social Ecology with a concentration in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of California, Irvine. She received her naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. She completed a one-year Family Practice residency, a two-year Environmental Medicine residency, and a one-year Environmental Medicine Fellowship at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her environmental medicine training was under the mentorship of Dr. Walter Crinnion. She is currently Clinical Faculty in both the Departments of Environmental Medicine and General Medicine at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Tempe AZ.


Lise Alschuler, ND

Dr. Alschuler has been a practicing naturopathic physician for 16 years. She is board certified in naturopathic oncology. She is the immediate past-President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and member of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Alschuler is the Vice President of Quality and Education at Emerson Ecologics, a supplement distribution company based in Bedford NH. She also provides naturopathic oncology at Naturopathic Specialists, based out of Scottsdale AZ. Dr. Alschuler co-authored The Definitive Guide to Cancer: An Integrative Approach to Prevention, Treatment and Healing, 3rd ed. (Tenspeed Press, 2010).


 

John Neustadt, ND

John Neustadt, ND, is medical director of Montana Integrative Medicine and the co-founder with Steve Pieczenik, MD, PhD of Nutritional Biochemistry, Incorporated (NBI) and NBI Testing and Consulting Corp (NBITC). Their research into the underlying biochemical causes of osteoporosis led them to create the only osteoporosis supplement on the market that contains the dose and form of ingredients shown to decrease fracture risk by more than 80%. In contrast, calcium supplements only decrease fracture risk by about 18%, and medications by 50% or less. Their nutraceutical for bone health, Osteo-K, has been featured in Pharmacy Times.

He is an internationally acclaimed clinician, author and speaker. Dr. Neustadt has written more than 100 articles and is a regular contributor to the medical journal, Integrative Medicine, and the consumer publication, remedies magazine. One of Dr. Neustadt's articles, "Medication-Induced Mitochondrial Damage and Disease" was published in the journal Molecular Nutrition and Food Research. He was honored to have been contacted directly by the editor, a senior FDA researcher, and asked to share his expertise by writing this ground-breaking article.

Dr. Neustadt is on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Prolotherapy, and has given continuing medical education talks to physicians on Osteoporosis: Beyond Bone Mineral Density and Medical Biochemistry in Clinical Practice.

Dr. Neustadt has written four books: Thriving through Dialysis with Jonathan Wright, MD, A Revolution in Health through Nutritional Biochemistryand A Revolution in Health Part 2: How to Take Charge of Your Health and Foundations and Applications of Medical Biochemistry in Clinical Practice with Dr. Pieczenik.
